• Dr. Fixit Newcoat coool is a heat reducing & ‘Energy Saving’ acrylic waterproofing coating providing a seamless waterproof barrier that can withstand expansion and contraction movements due to heat build-up on the roof surfaces. It helps in reduction of energy usages by less heat transfer into buildings thus keeps the interiors cool.
•  The coating serves the dual purpose of thermal reduction & with additional waterproofing protection.

• Prepare the surface thoroughly by cleaning, washing and removing dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose particles.
• Ensure that the roof slope is a minimum of 1 in 100 to enable the water runoff.
• In existing old terraces such as brickbat-coba or screeds, the substrate must be checked for its soundness. Damaged or hollow portions, sharp edges, etc. must be cut and repaired with a polymer-modified screed. Surface cracks must be filled with Dr. Fixit Crack-X or polymer-modified mortar in case of wider cracks.
• Bitumen based waterproofing treatments must be completely removed by mechanical scarification or by any other effective mechanical means.

• Apply one coat of Dr. Fixit Primeseal (diluted with water in the ratio 2:1) at the rate of 8 -10 sqm/ liter. Allow it to dry for 2-3 hours.
• Apply the first coat of Dr. Fixit Newcoat at the rate of 2 sqm per litre and allow it to dry before taking up the second coat, Apply second coat of Dr. Fixit Newcoat perpendicular to 1st Coat with same application rate.
• Minimum drying time between coats will be 4 to 6 hours.
• Use the final coat of Dr. Fixit Newcoat Cool as the reflective coat with same application coverage.
• Allow the system to air cure for 7 days minimum.

• All corners, gaps, joints, protrusions & outlets shall be coated with the extra coat.
• Do not apply during rains; substrate MUST be in dry condition for application of primer.
• The product is designed only for light foot traffic and not vehicular or movement of machinery or equipment.
• To achieve the full proof waterproofing, all parapet walls should be covered with Newcoat coool.
